Applying in-person (premium service) for SET (M)

Post by monkeybanana » Sun Jul 14, 2013 2:31 pm

Hi, I'm planning to apply in-person later this year for my settlement visa, after 2 years in the country as the wife of a UK citizen - a couple of questions...

The rules say you cannot apply earlier than 28 days before your second anniversary of entering the country on this visa, is this exactly the same for postal and premium service?

Also, if my application is approved, will they give me a document or stamp or something on the day that I can show my employer so they know my new visa is on the way?

And finally, all forms appear to be on paper, so I just take it with me and don't need to submit anything in advance of my interview date, online or by post?

Thanks so much for any help

Yes it's the same either way. I would recommend a postal application using the Settlement Checking Service (click) it shoud be quick and you get to keep your documents and its cheaper than the premium service.
