short absences from UK : ILR application<URGENT>

Post by lalitswain » Mon Jul 15, 2013 3:07 am

Hi,

My ILR walk is on 23rd July. Just filling the form and found that we need to submit documents for any absences from UK.

I entered to UK on 27-07-2008 on a tier 2 visa then converted the tier 2 visa to tier 1 on 05-03-2010.

My absences are below in last 5 years. onward date and return date.

To paris
23.05.09
25.05.09

To zurich
07.08.09
11 08 09

To India
25 11 09
20 12 09

To India
25 06 10
11 07 10

To India
17 02 11
28 02 11

To India
06 05 11
06 06 11

To india
13 10 11
24 10 11

To Rome
05 04 12
08 04 12

To India
23 12 12
07 05 13

All these absences are holidays. I already left the company I was working from 2007 to 2012 January. Is it mandatory to show documents from my previous company that these are part of annual holidays/vacations.

Can some one please help me on this ??

Thanks

Hi

I am in a similar state.

Out of the 5 years in the UK - I have been out of the UK only for 86 days - all scattered across these 5 years. All of them were holidays.

Do I really need to ask my employer to put it in writing that I went to Italy for 10 days, Paris for 5 days etc and also mention that they were holidays during my term of employment and I was paid during that time?

No an issue at all. If you can get employer letter, then get it. But if you cant, you can provide a personal letter detailing the absences.

Since your absence threshold is way below the allowed absences, you will be totally fine.
