Well if the work is genuine, then there is no time limit as to when you can apply. A confirmation letter from employer, a contract of employment, and few payslips should suffice.

thanx obie.....im really grateful for your response.they also asked of proof of residence and as i just moved here i dont have a bank account, any bills in my name or a tenancy agreement cos we live in a room in a shared house.wot can i use as proof of residence cos i came on a visit visa and i doubt any bank will open an account for me.secondly, can i apply for the residence card with the same passport that has my visit visa on it.thirdly, does d fact that we have a UK born child an added advantage to the application?

Like Obie Said, they only need documents from your EEA sponsor and not you, contract of employment, bank satement and few pay slips, and also you can use the same passport, you need to fill in the date when you 1st came to uk in EEA2 Form. I dont know if the child is an advantage or not.... Go ahead and apply

Hope this helps

sheraz7 wrote:The situation you described above then I believe it will be more likely self employment because an individual itself will pay taxes instead of employer. Self employment can be carried out even with individual own name instead of registering company.
