Help please confuse for my uk born child registration

Post by fatimahh » Tue Jul 16, 2013 11:19 am

Hi, i would really appreciate if someone could help and advise me regarding my queries.
I am a EEA family member of a french citizen (my hubby). during tense period had a relation with someone else and end up with baby. Me and hubby went through councelling and are back together, and decide baby should bear name of her real dad, as he his willing to help with expenses for her. i traveled with baby beginning this year and was able to come back with her as a dependant of my hubby 6 month family permit.
My question is the baby dad is now due to apply for ILR, and would like to register the kid as a BC once ILR obtained. Do you thing that is a good idea?
If we go for it will that affect my EEA permit?
Or do you think I should just apply for her EEA2 with my husband doc?
GOD BLESS!!!

I will only refer to the immigration side of things but there is obviously a wider issue here.

If one of child's parents (who is named in the UK birth certificate) becomes settled, the child can register as BC. This can be done anytime until the child is 18 even if he leaves the UK. The child immigration status will have no affect on you (or your husband).
