Traveling outside the EU (residence permit being processed)

Hello everyone. I have one simple question that needs to be answered very fast, as I'm planning to travel soon!!

My husband is British and I'm Mexican, we live in Spain and I applied for my Family residence permit in May. Still my residence permit is nowhere to be seen and I'm still waiting for it, but anyway, I do have a few pieces of paper they gave me saying I indeed applied for the residence permit, with a stamp and my DNI number and stuff. The thing is we want to travel to morocco in a few days but I'm afraid I might have problems coming back from Morocco in to Spain not having my residence permit and only a simple piece of paper with a DNI number and a stamp...that's it, nothing else...soooo first of all, "CAN I' travel outside of the Schengen area while my residence card is still being processed and "DO YOU THINK" i might have problems when coming back? well we are in same situation as well its going to be six months soon and no card as family member of eu citizen ,
and same we are thinking what will be result if we leave the Schengen zone do we need to apply another Schengen visa to enter Schengen zone we applied card in Italy.
and recently applied for Ireland visa also one week go same question we have too.
