Indefinite Leave to Remain Dependant application-clarificat

Post by priyankadheepuk » Wed Jul 17, 2013 10:41 am

Hi All,

I came to UK in March 2011 in Tier general dependent visa. My husband got ILR last September. I got my FLR(M) extended in oct last year. But I wish to apply for my ILR before october this year. Hence can you kindly clarify on the below:
1. whether I am eligible to apply for an ILR this august or september? I came to UK in march 2011 and have completed my 2 year stay here
2. Do I need to take any tests apart from 'Life in the UK'?

Thanks,
Priyanka

You appear to have been eligible for settlement on form set(m) since March 2013, by virtue of immigration rule 287(a)(i)(d). The Life in the UK test is enough to satisfy KOLL.

Thanks a lot Amber!!!! So I can go ahead and file my ILR application right? Or do you think I need to check with UKBA? If so, are you aware of sny of their email IDs to raise the same question?

You should be ok if you were a PBS dep in March 2011 then immediately to flr(m). You'll need cohabitation proof as well.

Then you have been eligible for settlement since March 2013

For roughly every 4 months you need a joint letter or letter each from at least 3 different sources. Examples include, bank statements, HMRC letters, utility bills, council tax invoices etc....
