I hope someone can help me with a few questions below, thanks!
1. I got my 27 month Spouse visa last year in Mumbai and have been in the UK for more than a year now. I would like some help on when my visa comes to an end - [u]do I qualify for an ILR or do I have to apply for an extension visa?[/u]
When my visa comes to an end - I will have been here for 2 years, living with my Scottish husband, I have a job, a driving license, a bank account and we have never used any public funds (although we do not have any savings yet).
2. I obviously got the visa on my maiden name (as is on my Indian passport). I wanted to change my last name on the passport before I apply for the visa again (to get the visa on my married name) but I do not know if that will affect my visa validity and status. I do not want to complicate or mess things up.
A. Would my visa still be valid?
B. Is it transferable? Can I get it transferred to my new passport?
