Change of employement on Tier 2 ICT Short Term Staff Visa

Post by Indian_99 » Thu Jul 18, 2013 10:50 am

Hello

Can you please provide me feedback on below case. ?

Currently I'm working in UK on Tier 2 ICT short term staff Visa which will be expiring on 30-Sep-2013.Now I got a new opportunity and my potential(new) employer is ready to provide me Cos and file new visa for me.

So my question is,
1.Can my new employer file visa for me ?
2.If Yes, do I need to go back to my home country and file new visa before my current visa expiry date.

Current Visa Details : Start Date : Oct-2012
End Date : Sep-2013

Thanks in advance.

You can't switch from the UK, you have to re-apply from outside the UK and the cooling off period means you'll have to wait 12 months (unless you're getting paid £152,100pa).

Hello Jeeves,

Thanks for information. But Is there any way to waive off this cooling period.? or to apply in some different category for which I do not need to wait for 12 months.

You can only extend your visa or apply for entry clearance on ICT long term with the same company you currently work for. That's the only other way the cooling off period is waived...
