Third Party Investors

Post by jollyrancher » Thu Jul 18, 2013 7:36 pm

Hi. I am looking to apply for an Entrepreneur Visa but then the guidelines are a bit confusing. Therefore I wanted to confirm a couple of things.

a) If I get third party investors (based in the UK), do the funds have to be in my account or theirs? Hypothetically I wouldn't be able to open an account in the UK to store the amount. Would I still be able to show funds available to me via the third party investors?

b) Provided I get the visa, do I need to place the entire amount in the company's account or can the third party investors hold on to the amount and give it to me in tranches?

c) How does the UKBA verify if the funds are still available in the account post getting the visa? I mean if one gets the visa, they do randomly check to see if the money is being spent. Does it mean the entire amount has to be transferred?

Would appreciate some feedback.
