Bonds for spouse visa

Post by Sandra719 » Fri Jul 19, 2013 7:58 am

I am Chinese and my husband is british.

He worked in China for 11 years and is unemployed in Uk now.

We sold everything in China and transferred the money to Uk. But it is not 6 months yet.

He has a track bond which he had for 18 months and it can be cashed on aug.12. The amount is 60000 pounds.

He also has shares for years. So if he sell some shares and get 5000 pounds now, can I apply the spouse visa in sep.?

I assume we do not need to wait for another 6 months if we can prove he own the bonds and shares 7 months ago.

Any help will be appreciated.

That is correct if the shares were held before being liquidated then you can count that time towards the 6 months qualification period subject to meeting the Annex FM - chapter 7 (click) requirements and specified evidence.
