Lost passport, visa transfer?

Post by carley » Wed Jul 24, 2013 8:50 am

I have applied for a tier 2 visa renewal. I had to get my biometrics done for it and a friend told me my new visa will now come on a biometrics card, rather than a page in the passport. According to the track and trace the special delivery envelope I enclosed for the return of my documents, was delivered yesterday. However there seems to be a problem with the delivery. Basically I don't know if it was just the passport that was returned or also my visa. I know I can get a new passport worst case senario, but what happens to the visa I've just applied for if it turns out my passport has been lost?

Your BRP is sent separately to your passport and documents. So you should expect two packages. You should be required to sign for the BRP.
