How long normally it takes to receive BRP permit?

Post by dolfintown » Wed Jul 24, 2013 9:41 am

Hello All,

I have received a letter that Tier 2 Gen Visa has been approved on 17th July and letter dated 15th July. However there is no sign of BRP card yet. My wife has a ticket booked to travel on 28th July.

Is there anyway we can track the BRP dispatch from UKBA office?

Regards

Hi,

Call UKBA on their Croydon office number (see ukba website) and shout at them. This works for mostly Monday morning 9 am sharp. You should get through to someone.

Have you been given a reference number by UKBA? When you talk to them tell them this reference number so they can load your application progress on their screen.

Don't understand why this is taking time??

Sorry no straight answers from me, but hoping this helps.

I'm sure the call centre worker will just love that!

I'm not even sure that UKBA make the BRP cards, I think a private company makes and delivers them on their behalf - which would explain why they come back separately from the application.

Hi

Just tried calling them but they are referring me back to send an email. I will send them an email now to see what they come up with.

Hi,

What noobs these UKBA people are. You are calling them and they are telling you to email someone. Ridiculous.

Good job that you sent an email. Keep me updated what happens. I am sure you will have it sooner or later.

Best wishes,
