EEA2 Student

Post by vinayunited » Wed Jul 24, 2013 1:56 pm

Hi All,

I am an Indian married to a French woman. I am currently working and will be applying for EEA2 in the next few months. I was going through the form and wanted some information. My wife is currently a student doing her PHD. On the form it says that I need to provide a "A bank statement or evidence of a grant or scholarship or a declaration of sufficient funds". What would this be. Would be a bank statement suffix?

Secondly if my wife will do her field work next year (from October) so will not be in the UK? Would that make a difference ?

We got married in June? If I apply for EEA2 in November. Would that cause any issues ?

I think along with the bank statement if there is an evidence of scholarship receipt/declaration assuring not to become burden on public by possessing sufficient funds will be fine. An EEA national can be absent for 6 months but if you were called on interview then the both will need to attend it.

Is there an specific amount that we need to show. Once the fees is paid is there a maintenance per month that needs to be shown. How often is a person called for an interview

There is no specific amount limit as long as one possess sufficient resources without becoming burden on public. Calling for interview depend on circumstances and since 2013 many people have been called. I am sure if you search you can get some threads relating to it.
