Need help about paper Appeal.... Plzz

Hello Guys,

I gone for paper appeal. I wondered, do i need to wait for letter from court to send all evidences and support documents?

My lawyer said that we have send support documents and evidences after receiving a letter from court. in that letter they will mention when is your hearing will take place? and they will give a period of time to send all documents. is that right what i heard from him? please help me i am little bit confused.... plzzzzzz
