VAF4a Appendix 2 - Two Jobs.

Hi

Thank you for taking the time out to view my post.

Introduction
My wife and I (married April 2013) are in the process of filling out the VAF4a Appendix 2 form.

And we just need some assistance with it.

I am currently in the UK and have been for 23 years... My wife is currently in Pakistan.



My jobs
I have 2 jobs:

1st Job
I have been with this employer for 14 months, my annual salary is (just above) £13,000 (sorry don't have the exact figures) and I will be receiving my yearly bonus (of £3,000) in my July 2013 pay.

I get paid by the hour in this employement.


2nd Job
With my second employer, I have been with them for 8 months now, my annual salary is £6,000.

I get fix pay per month £500, ... Annually £6,000

What we need assistance with
I assume that we apply via the Cat B route?

My problem then arises in 3.4 - 3.10, I assume that this is where I put down the details for my first job.

In 3.11 can I put down my gross pay PLUS my bonus (so, £13,000 + £3,000) £16,000?

Then what I do answer to these questions:

3.12 Has your sponsor been in employment with the same employer and earning the amount, as detailed in 3.11 above,
continuously for 6 months prior to the date of the application? (Category A)

YES [] go to 3.21 NO [] go to 3.13

3.13 Has your sponsor had other salaried employment, in the UK, in the 12 months prior to the date of application?
(Category B) Put a cross (x) in the relevant box

YES [] NO [] go to 3.20

Then where do I enter in my second jobs details along with my salary from that...?


And, finally, where do I put down my final total yearly salary (from both jobs)
1st Job....£13,000
2nd Job...£ 6,000
Total.......£19,000
Bonus.....£ 3,000
TOTAL.....£22,000

I assume that £22,000 is what I would put down, right?

Again, thank you for taking the time out to read my post. Any help will be hugely appreciated!!

Depends, for job 1 what is the lowest gross wage slip in the last 6 months? The same for job 2?

Hi thanks for your response.

The lowest payslip amount in the past 6 months for job 1 was £891

The others are £1,100 give or take

Just under for cat a. You'll have to use cat b and supply the last 12 months wage slips and other specified evidence as per appendix FM.

ok so i apply under cat A. Can I ask why i need to give 12 months payslips if i apply under cat B?

Where do i enter in the details for my second job?

For Cat A (6 months wage slips) you have to show that the lowest wage slip x 12 = the threshold amount.

For Cat B there are two tests:

1 - your annual salary (as indicated by your employer letter) meets the threshold required and

2 - in the last 12 months (up to 12 months wages slips) you have earned that amount relied upon (in any job).

Cat B tick, add the other job details in Part 5 and state what you have earned in the last 12 months total and the annual salary of both jobs as per the employer letter.

And seeing that I need to put my second put details in Part 5, what do I tick in 3.21?

Sorry, I mis-read your earlier post.

So i assume that i leave 3.12 blank? and X in 3.13

Can i ask what is 3.14 - 3.19 is for?
