AN successful – ceremony pending – name change

Post by Waiting123 » Fri Jul 26, 2013 6:56 pm

Hello,

I have read through many topics but didnt find the answer. Appreciate if my questions were answered.

Current name
first name : A B C
Middle and last name : .... .. (nothing)

My AN application was successful with the above name, thanks to this wonderful forum. Received letter from UKBA with "Full name : A B C".

I would like to change my name to -First : A B and Last : C (not attended the ceremony yet) in the passport, please let me know how this can be done?

Is the deed polls, the only option?

Thank you!

I dont mind retaining the current name(without surname) but when I am filling the online passport application, its mandatory to fill in the surname.

What do you suggest I do?

There is no much point using the online form as HMPO need to print it and send it back to you for you to sign it and send it back to them. Much quicker just to pick up a paper form from the post office. You can then leave the field empty.
