Student visa 7 year, what to do after that

Post by Hadi88 » Sat Jul 27, 2013 12:32 am

Hi guys, i have a friend who came to ireland in 2006 i think august
His visa ends in sept 2013, his 7 year over this year.he actually had an issue,
He was doing a graduation course,2010 yr1 then 2012 yr2,but he fail his 2 nd year, he was worries of repeating yr 2 as his 7th year ends 2013,
So he went to limerick city, n register himself to immigration there rather than dublin,as he think dublin immigration is strict n got panic. So he got a 1 yr visa in limerick doing an mba course of 1 year rather than completing graduation course,2nd n 3rd year,
But however her girlfriend is here n he donot want to go back,
Any solution for this situation.
I thank you in advance please please its urgent.
I know there r good people out there who is a genius like integratedimmigrant

Is her girlfriend Irish? and if so how long have they been in a relationship?
He could apply for a permission to remain in the State based on what is called a De Facto Relationships

Hi Guys,

One of my friend is in the similar situation (more than 7 years on student visa). Is there any chance / roomers that a similar law would be introduced like for the students prior to 2004 ?

If his girlfriends if from any EU country and they can document being in a relationship for at least two years, he should be able to get a Stamp 4 (EUFam) fairly easily (as long as she is working or studying here).
