Travelling out of country while Citizenship application.

Post by sameeer » Mon Jul 29, 2013 4:40 pm

I have just applied for citizenship on 25th July:

While the application is under progress, is it ok to travel out of country ?

If so is there any restriction to the period of travel ?

As far I am aware you can travel and there is no restriction except 2 year continuous absence from UK.
Thanks

Only thing is if they need to get in touch and need any more documents which they rarely do but just saying could be ideal to sort this out but if it is unavoidable u can travel

So basically, the decision of my application wont be affected if I travel for a couple of months immediately after UKBA receives my application right ?

What I want to confirm is, my absence when they take up my application shouldn't be a deciding clause, is there any reference which speaks about this condition atall ?

It is difficult to provide proof to something that doesn't exist...

As long as someone is checking your mail (just in case the HO writes and asks for additional information), you will be fine.
