Hi my question is for my wife visa if I apply in November 2013 would the City & Guilds A1 test be sufficient. My wife is applying for the first time from Pakistan (outside UK) to live with me as my partner, she will not apply for any other type visa e.g student etc... and I will have to fill out the financial requirement and family settlement form.
There are a few changes that will happen in October I believe but I'am not sure if that is for ILR / naturalisation Settlement only. Or if it is for family settlement I am bit confused.
Any advice will be helpful in October 2013 I am not sure if it is 13th October are test going to change so they are more difficult.

it looks like its for ilr. So a1 has to be given in pakistan and b2 and liuk has to be given in uk. But a guru can confirm if i am correct.

can you please tell me where your wife took the test and preperation materials and where you can get the official a1 books from? Thanks.
