Length of time apart - spouse visa

I wondered if anyone could help me out.

I haven't seen my husband since June 2012, obviously we have proof of contact for this period and I have stayed with him several times since our relationship started. I will be visiting for 3 1/2 weeks and accompanying him to the biometrics/documents appointment we will book for next month, but I wanted to submit the application here before I leave the UK to ensure payment and printing is sorted in good time.

I wanted to know if the length of time apart since we last saw each other could be seen as a negative?
I was unable to travel before due finance/employment/school attendance for my son.
