questions asked by Superintendent Registrar before marriage

Post by vinayunited » Tue Jul 30, 2013 1:49 pm

Hi All,

I am due to get married in two weeks time. I read somewhere that before marriage the superintendent will be asking me and my bride questions in private. I want to know what kind of question would they be asking.

Thanks

They will ask you both questions in private to establish whether they think the marriage is legitimate. Questions amount each others family, dates of birth, where you met, how long you've known each other etc.... if the answers don't match they may suspect a sham marriage. How long have you known each other?

We have known each other for more than four years. These questions are fine for us to be honest .

Thanks
