ILR Eligibility

Post by salivi » Tue Jul 30, 2013 10:58 pm

Hi,
I currently hold a Tier 2 ICT Visa and have accepted another job offer and subsequently changed my Visa to Tier 2 General.
I am planning to take sometime off (15 days) after completing exit formalities from my current employer and before starting my job.
I want to know if such a leave will reset my ILR clock? and if I will be
eligible to apply for ILR in Dec 2014.
Below is my visa history:

1. First Visa : Tier 2 ICT Visa from 5 Jan 2010 to Dec 2011.
2. Visa Extension : Tier 2 ICT visa from Jan 2011 to Dec 2012
3. Visa Extension : Tier 2 ICT Visa from Jan 2013 to Dec 2015
4. Visa Extension (new Employer) : Tier 2 General from 2 Sep 2013 ( ICT visa will be curtailed in Aug 2013)

Experts, please advice.

Thanks

The job change will not reset your ILR clock, you will be eligible to apply 28 days before the 5th anniversary of your entry to the UK on your first visa. If you have already obtained your new leave to remain for your new T2G job, and have a new BRP card, re-entry to the UK after your 15 day break shouldn't be a problem .

Hi
This is my case.

2. Visa Change :Tier 2 General Visa from May 2011 to Current (Jun 2014)

Changed my visa within 28 days which was applied in my home country.
