Chidren on Tire1 Dependent are eligible for UK Passport?

Hi there,
My ILR is due in September 2014. I am planning to apply about a month earlier. My wife and two son are on Tire1 dependent. When I get my ILR, do I need to apply for ILR for my sons are are they eligible for applying to UK Passport (on the basis that one of the parents has ILR)?

If so, it will save me lots of fee to apply for their ILR....

If your children (under 18) were previously born in the UK, then they will be entitled to register for British citizenships immediately after you are granted ILR. Else, they should apply for ILR.
