ILR or FLR

Hello
i applied for my wife and child visa on 21 march 2013 and they both accepted and are currently living with me in UK.

i will be applying for my child british Passport but i was wondering what do i need to apply for my wife ILR or FLR. i have asked few solicitors and i get different answers

Anyone Knows Please Help

Under the Regulations introduced in July 2012, your wife will now have to apply for a 2.5 year extension FLR(M) when she has completed her first 2.5 years on her existing spouse visa. At the end of the 5 year probationary period she will qualify for ILR.
