ukba withdrew from appeal

ukba withdrew from appeal

2 days before we had our appeal hearing in court for refusal of spouse visa, UKBA withdrew from it, meaning that they withdraw their original refusal. does anyone know how long it will take for embassy in Cairo to issue my husbands visa? it has been 3 weeks already and they are not answering any emails
Submitted application - Cairo 10th oct 2011
Refused - 12th jan 2012
resubmitted - 26th jun 2012
refused again - 14th oct 2012
appeal lodged - 28th oct 2012
date given - 3rd april 2013
court 15th july
UKBA withdrawn 12th july
still waiting for visa

Any idea why they withdrew? Did you send in documents?

They didn't tell ua why they withdrew and yes we did send in lots more documents

When did you send in the documents? 1 month before the court date? 1 week before?

sent them about a month before the court date, and wrote a letter to the presenting officer in cardiff about a week before court just reminding them that they were wrong to refuse us in the first place

we still not heard anything from embassy

This is a typical ploy used quite regularly by UKBA unfortunately. It can take a further 2 months or so before you will get the visa stamped in your passport

at least i know it is normal for them to do that, i have sent a copy of the notice of withdrawl to my hubby and told him to goto the embassy with it in the hope that it may speed them up
