BRP Delivery Went back to Home Office- Help

Post by velukurthi » Fri Aug 02, 2013 1:18 am

Hello Forum,

I am in need of advice from you all , i had applied for ILR through Tier1 general route on 24th July 2013 at Croydon PEO office along with three dependants and the application was accepted and had been told the BRP will be coming by post.

Since then i had been waiting for the BRP's I got a letter from the courier company on 31st July stating they attempted to deliver the documents and were unable to as someone told them that no one lives at this address. when i called them asking to redeliver they told me it had now been sent back to Home office.

I had immediately send a email to BRP department about the situation asking to redeliver.

Can someone advise how long it could take to receive the BRP's will homeoffice resend ? Will it affect my ILR ?

Please Advice me what i should be doing at this moment ?

Thank you

It won't affect the ILR as its been granted, but no idea how long you'll wait. In an ideal world, not long. However, it's the Home Office ;-), I would call the contact centre and speak to someone, people sometimes don't get a response from emailing the support team.

Apart of contacting the UKBA, why not try to inquire from DX courier as what exact was the returning address and try to arrange its collection from there by using similar courier service.
Please donot send PM. Write in open forum to facilitate others too.

Hi sheraz7,

I tried call and finding out but unfortunately they dont want to give the address where they had sent the document and they dont offer the pickup service it seems.

Anyone any more suggestions please.

Thank you
