Citizenship Application- Queries

Post by cooldude09 » Fri Aug 02, 2013 10:24 am

Hi Experts,
I will be applying for Citizenship in next month on the basis of 5 Years Irish Employment( 2xYears Stamp 1 & 3xYears Stamp 4).
I have some queries:

1) I travel a lot to abroad in my Job. So, sometimes I used to stay upto 5 months away from Ireland. Although I am paying taxes in Ireland and have my stamps/VISA status updated on passport. Since, it is a requirement of the job so can not do anything on same. Will it affect my application?

2) Last time when I entered in Dublin Airport, Immigration officer stamped my passport with date 19 June and in reality it was 29 June. I oberverd this later on. What should I do in this case? Can this also impact the application.

Please guide me. Thanks in Advance.

Comments below are based on my personal experience and the experience of my close friends, they are/might not official requirements. Follow them at your own discretion.

Dear Cooldude09:

Few of my friends are in services industry, who needs to travel and stay outside of Ireland for longer periods of time, 6 months plus. In one particular case my friend stayed out side of Ireland for more than 1 year. His salary was being paid in Ireland, tax was being deducted in Ireland, so he did not had any problem, he is now Irish national. The actual requirement is that their should be no gap in the Irish visa's/stamps, which I believe are upto date in your case.

Non of the points can impact your application as far as I believe.

All the best

@Exam, we know you aint an immigration solicitor so no need for the bold statements. Your answer to the OP made it clear that its just an experience and thats all thats needed.
