Dear all,
I am going to apply ILR via PEO in 2 weeks time. I am on 2 years spouse visa. My husband and my 6 years old son are now British. Both of us are working (I work 36 hours). We have working tax credit on joint names, child benefit and child tax credit on his name.
My questions are:
1) Can I include my son in my application? His dependent visa is still valid. He has both naturalization certificate and biometric resident permit. (I want him to hold current passport so that it is easier to go back home, he has not applied British passport yet)
2) Do I have to show the bank statements, savings? And how much our saving should have?
3) In filling the form Set(M) section8.6- Are you or your partner receiving any public funds?, is it a Yes or No?
if it is Yes, will it affect my application?
When filling in the income source box, should our salaries and all our tax credits including our working tax credit be filled?
4) Does minimum income threshold limit apply me?
5) And finally what other documents should I submit?
Thank you in advance.

1. No. A British child cannot be included in your SET(M) application. A British citizen, without a British passport, may apply for a
Certificate of Entitlement to the
Right of Abode.
2. Your choice, if they are not asked for on the form SET(M).
3. Probably
yes. But this
shouldn't affect your application.
4.
No.
5. See the
Form SET(M) and Guide.

Hi
Thank you very much for your previous answers which are very clear.
I know I have to fill child benefit and child tax credit in 'your partner' column of section 8.6.
But what about working tax credit, my or my partner column?
Thanks for your time

Whoever is named on the WTC award notice put it under their column, it really doesn't matter as you can both claim tax credits (jointly) where one of the couple is not subject to immigration control.

If your children are British, just pop their details in 3.9

Hi
Could you also please check if my finances are ok?
It is section 8 .6 in page 21
I put the amount per month as follows:
Income Source Amount
Salaries: 1740
Child Benefit: 81
Child Tax Credit: 272
Working Tax credit: 99
__________________
Total: 2192
And also in section 2.27:
Do you or your partner have any shared financial responsibilities? Y or N
What does it mean? Should it be in ratio, eg 50:50?
My ISA statement is only once a year, other saving statement is quarterly and the last one I receive is up to June 2013. Can I print recent online statement, have it sealed by the bank and attached to the original statement?
OR
Is it ok if I show our 3 months pay slips instead of showing our savings?
Thank you very much

Forget the ISA as your income is more than sufficient under the old rules and looks fine as detailed. Include 3 months wage slips and corresponding bank statements.
Shared responsibility are things such mortgages, bills etc....

Thank you very much for your prompt response
So I don't need the recent bank statement print out online and the old ones are fine, isn't it?
We do not have such proper share. The main expenses are rent and foods. It is just who ever is at home when it is time to pay rent and that person pays it. Same as food.
So what should I write in detail box?
Thank you very much
I m nearly finished filling the forms and collecting documents.
Once everything is done please let me come and check with you again

The last 3 months bank statements you have received showing wages paid in are fine. Just write household bills under shared.

Last 3 months wage slips and corresponding bank statements.
For cohabitation:
One joint letter or one letter each for roughly every 4 months of the last 2 years from a total of at least 3 different sources.
If your husband is attending the PEO with you? you do not need a letter. If your husband is not attending, (he should ideally), then you need him to write a letter supporting your application and stating his contact details. He should also sign all declarations on set(m).

Thanks for your reply
Yes.
My husband is going with me.
The banks statement I include is the one with our wages.
We do not have joint letters. I only have the landlord letter that confirms our family lives in that house.
Those correspondences are from 3 different sources (2 banks and 1 employer for pay slip) and those are roughly about 3 monthly or quarterly through out the last 2 years. That made me a total of 20.
I include my pay slips because it has 2 sided, one my wages and the other my address. The other letters are not regular and it did not start from Sep 2011. Some started from 2012 and some were discontinued.
Is that fine?
Please reply
Thank you very much and God Bless You!

Dear All
My settlement was approved the same day at PEO crydon. It took only 2 and a half hours. No interview. I forgot to give them the copies. That is why it took a little longer. My Biometric card arrived 2 days after.
Thank you very much everyone from this forum esp. Vinny and Amber who answered me patiently and completely.
Thank you again and God Bless!
