Post by rajeshksh » Fri Aug 02, 2013 9:02 pm

Hello All,

I was in uk on Tier 2 ICT short term from oct-12 to Apr-13 and returned back to INDIA.Now my comp is looking to sponsor ICT long term.but, when i applied initially my qualification was diploma engineering. In CoS,SOC is 2132.
From july 2013 rules got changed in ukba.does this affect my new application based on my qualification?

SOC code 2132 no longer exists, it has been replaced by three codes: 2135, 2136 and 2139. All three are NQF level 6. Your sponsor should choose the one that is most appropriate for your job

only you and your employer know what your job will be when you come to the UK. It should closely match the description associated with the chosen SOC code.

Unless it is a shortage occupation the job must be at NQF level 6 and the salary at least £40,600 or the appropriate salary in the codes of practice, whichever the higher.
