Gibraltar Fee?

Post by EUsmileWEallsmile » Sun Aug 04, 2013 10:52 pm

Media reports that Spain wishes to impose a fee for crossing the frontier between Spain and Gibraltar.

What chance might this stand up to in a court? None I would suggest.

I would stand up for EU citizens rights of freedom of movement.

The problem with something like this is that referral to the ECJ could take months. And I am sure that those months could cause a world of pain for Gibraltar residents.

In a referendum in 2002 the people of Gibraltar soundly rejected a joint sovereignty proposal ; people living there want to stay with Britain.

Silly Spanish government; even IMF Admits Spain is Bankrupt nation
