Passport expiring

Post by spoggers » Tue Aug 06, 2013 2:35 pm

Hi everybody!

I am planning to apply for my husbands visa at the end of September. My British passport is due to expire next May, should I look to renew it before the application?

Even if there is a 6 months rule my passport should still be valid at the date of application. I don't really want to change it before the application because I want to change my name (but can't right now because I don't have the marriage certificate here), but I don't want to pay twice.

What does everyone think?

Rachel

You should be OK as there is requirement that the passport has 6 months left in it
