Prospective Entrepreneur

Post by 6060360 » Wed Aug 07, 2013 11:09 pm

Hi

I wonder if anyone can help me. I applied for prospective entrepreneur visa from outside the UK and got refused. All documents were in order plus valid invitation letter from my FSA regulated VC wanting to invest in my business.
The officer didn't search the FSA registry properly and apparently couldn't find the record of the firm, and refused on the basis that the firm doesn't exist. Sent the embassy a review request, then they replied saying yes might be true that the VC is there, but because wasn't available at the time they searched, we will stick to our decision! What should I do? There is a limited right of an appeal on the refusal letter. They mentioned that you might want to apply again!!

Thanks

you being out side UK should re-apply as they admitted themselves company status with FSA can now be verified was not at 1st place.
appeal takes ages and ages and different prospect when you inside UK being outside is an advantage you should take to get a quick decision.

thanks..

Since you have applied for Prospective Entrepreneur, you are applying from outside the UK.

Therefore, you will need to re-apply again as appeals are not given outside the UK.

I've also noticed something that you posted this message on August 8th 2013. If you are aware or not, FSA was replaced by FCA and PRA since April 2013. So, all companies were told to get themselves registered under FCA.

That is why you should always put a printout of that page in which they are listed on FCA website.
