Do I need legal rep letter? 50k in one team member's account

Hi everyone,

I've tried searching the forum but could not find anything.. hopefully someone will be able to shed some light on this!

If we are applying as a team, but the funds are in my name in an overseas account, would I have to provide a legal representative letter on top of a signed declaration and a bank letter? We have signed my third party declaration letter in front of a commissioner of oaths, and got it certified.

Is it still a must to obtain a legal letter? If so, how much should I expect to pay for it? (I was quoted £250+ from a solicitor for just writing the letter!)
