A travel document should be granted unless the Home Office believe there are extremely good reasons to refuse, such as to protect national security. However, the conviction will affect any application for citizenship until 3 years has lapsed from the date of conviction.

Sorry for my interference, I have two convictions - both of which are over 4 years. I have decided to apply for british citizenship. Am I liable to do it- or do I have to wait for completion of 5 years rehabilitation period?

If I am eligible to apply before October 2013, do I have to take any english test? as I have already done life in UK test 1year ago.

Your advise will be highly appreciated.

Kind regards
