NI Contributions for Tier 2 ICT dependants Visa

Hi,

I am working in UK on Tier 2 ICT visa and I am currently exempted from NI contributions for the first year of my employment. My wife has also found a job here and started working. Can somebody please clarify if she is also exempted from NI contribution for the first year.

We have been chasing HMRC for the past six months but to no avail.
