Switching from Tier 1 - Post Study Work to Tier 2 Dependent?

My wife is currently on Tier 1 - Post Study Work visa and is working in the UK. I am on Tier 2 General working in the UK. My wife's Tier 1 - Post Study Work visa expires in Feb 2013. Hence, I am planning to apply for Tier 2 dependent for her.

My question is as she is currently in the UK, Can she apply for Tier 2 dependent from within the UK or she needs to go back to home country to switch from Tier 1 - PSW to Tier 2 dependent?

She can't apply inside the UK. She has to leave the UK and apply from her home country or a country where she has a valid residence permit.
