Bank statement format

Post by una86 » Tue Aug 13, 2013 1:08 pm

Hello all,

Since my application for Tier 2 (General) visa was refused once because of a wrong format of the bank statement, I would be very grateful if someone could tell if the following newly issued letter from my bank is acceptable:

"This is to confirm that Ms. Jane Doe holds an account at MY BANK NAME number 190000XXXXXX.
The withdrawal balance maintained as on 13.08.2013 is EUR XXXXX. The minimum balance amount on this Desposit Account during the period 04/07/2011 to 13/08/2013 is EUR XXXXXXX.
This confirmation is issued on the customer's request for UK visa.

Sarajevo, 13.08.2013 (Signature and stamp)."

Sorry if a similar post already exists.

Thanks in advance, Una

The best thing is to ask your Bank to give your your last 90 days bank statememtn. They will charge you like £5 and it will come in couple of weeks. UKBA will not have any problems with your original bank statement.

Thanks for your prompt reply.

I will ask for a detailed bank statement from my bank. Moreover, to make sure I dont get rejected twice for the same reason, I will also enclose a letter from my bank.

Could you please take a look at the bank letter above and tell me whether is seams ok to you?

Thanks :)

I am not sure what exactly is to be added in letter but as I said earlier you don't need a letter if you have proper bank statements. Its all specified on UKBA website.

Hello again,

I just got a bank statement from my bank which is printed in black and white, but with an official stamp and signature (in color). My bank only issues statements in black and white with color stamps. Is this format acceptable for visa obtainance?

Thanx in advance,

Una
