Expediting Licensing Procedure

Post by grif-fin » Wed Aug 14, 2013 11:55 am

Hi

My visa is expiring in just more than 3 weeks now. And we are still waiting for my company's licence to arrive from UKBA. I've heard that if you've got 3 weeks or less due to your visa expiry you can contact UKBA to expedite the licensing procedure for your company.

I want to know if anyone has done this before and if it actually worked for them or how faster it got?

Many Thanks!

Many Thanks. The odd thing is the name of the company sponsoring me is on this list: http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... ofsponsors

But we haven't heard anything yet. This is a new licence which contains both old company that I used to work for and new company which toke over recently (which their name is on that list).

We have requested for expediting on 16th of August since my visa is expiring on 6th of September and haven't heard back from them yet. We have applied for the licence 5 weeks ago.

Anyone requested for expediting recently and got their licence faster?

Thanks for the support but I believe there is a difference between the premiership football club and my company.... :/

I have a in person appointment on Friday which we were thinking to cancel it but talking to someone I've been advised to go for it and apply for FLR(o) explaining my situation, any chances in that in your opinion?

I don't know what UKBA policy is on that. Postal applications tend to take so long that the sponsor licence often comes through by the time they get round to looking at the FLR application.

Can someone else with experience comment on the situation where an in-person app is made? Do they hold the app for postal treatment or just refuse because of lack of CoS?

The appointment is tomorrow and since our solicitor has not contacted me to give me the docs I'm assuming I am not going to the appointment which is a shame.

I would have thought they would put it on hold and I could explain the situation in person but until now I don't really know what happens if you go in person without CoS.
