Good afternoon,

We both have ILR and I'm now filling in the british passport application form for our new born baby, born in UK.

I would be grateful for some clarifications regarding the following sections-

Section 5- what is the certificate of registration or naturalisation?
Section 8- Is it necessary to provide information about the grand parents of the baby. They are all Indian citizens.

did your baby born after your ilr or before your ilr ?

If your baby born before your ILR then you will have to register child as British citizen, that is called naturalisation or registration as British.

On section 5 mark X on No box, and carry on to next section if your baby born after your ILR.
