Switching from Tier 4 (Student) to Tier 1(General) Migrant's Dependent (ie PBS Dependent) within UK

Main Applicant Tier 1(G) Migrant Details [husband]

Initial Tier 1 (General) Grant 02/02/2010
Tier 1 (General) Extension 24/01/2013
Tier 1 (General) Expiry 24/01/2016

Dependent Details [wife]

Student Visa Grant 19/01/2011
Entry in uk on student visa 03/02/2011
Expiry of student Visa 30/10/2013

HAS COMPLETED HER STUDY (Hon's Degree).
We just got married in UK in july 2013.

CAN WE APPLY, "PBS DEPENDENT" FROM WITH IN UK? IF SO WHAT FORMS TO USE ?
if not, then what forms to fill from outside UK & what documents to attach for supporting our application form outside UK.

Thanks !!!

Solution -Applying for entry clearance (outside the UK)

Post by Garrry » Sat Aug 17, 2013 2:25 pm

Many Thanks for your reply.

Reading the Guidance notes ... what i understand is

Switching is not possible within UK.
So Must have to go through Entry Clearance as PBS Dependent. [ which is Applying for entry clearance (outside the UK) ]

IS that correct ? if you can give your opinion.

Your Help is much appreciated. Thanks !!!
