afternoon everyone,
thanks for all the effort in sorting people out on this forum and saving people thousands of pounds in solicitors fee everyday.
i am new here, but here my story;
1. am non eea married to an eea wife in september 2006, before marriage i was in uk on student visa since 2004

2. got residence card in september 2007 and valid untill september 2012

3. finalised my divorced with my wife in september 2011 after one of the terrible thing happened in our relationship

4. apply for my eea4 Permanent residence in august2012 and PR was issued in december 2012

its 2013 now and am not sure if am qualify to apply for british naturalisation. i have been given lots of advise which are find confusing.
i will be greatful if someone can simplify things for me

You can apply in December if you meet rest of the requirements.

Masalli,

The breakup of the relationship will not affect your British Naturalisation. You can apply 1 year after getting your ILR(i.e being free from Immigration Restrictions).

You can apply to naturalise after being settled for 12 months, the easiest way to show this is 12 months after being granted your PR card. However, if you can show evidence (perhaps the same you used to get the PR card) that you attained PR before this point, you can apply earlier.

thanks for the replies. i was hoping to apply sometimes in december but i came across a solicitor recently who seen my passport and advice me that i am due to apply for naturalisation now if i can afford the fee. that where the doubt comes from as am not sure of what he met

I think I've explained it to you. There is an additional English language requirement coming into affect from 28 Oct 2013.
