ESTA Eu citizen - previous F1 Violation

Post by applicanteea2 » Tue Aug 20, 2013 5:29 pm

Hi There,

Would appreciate your advise, am not to sure on how to approach this issue.

In 2003 I studied in the US on a F1 visa ( pursuing a degree course ) on an Indian passport

That year I dropped below 12 credit hours and violated the terms of my F1 Status. Further to that I applied for re-reinstatement and was granted permission to stay back and continue.

In the same year due to poor GPA I decided not to continue my course and decided to leave the US. Please note, there was no notice served by INS asking me to leave the country.

I have now acquired EU citizenship and wish to visit the US in the near future.

Would i qualify for a ESTA or would I need to apply for a B1 / B2 Visa

How could I verify my situation here?

Thanks

I would recommend you to apply for ETSA with correct details and see how it goes.
