Mistake on Place of birth

Post by ola34 » Tue Aug 20, 2013 5:33 pm

Please i need your opinion on this...
I applied for UK visiting Visa in 2008 when i was living in Nigeria and was refused...reason being that my pay-slip looked alike. But on that application, i had lagos state as place of birth bcos that was what i had on my passport then. Thou it was a mistake from the immigration. Unfortunately, i lost that passport and i had to fix that mistake when getting a new one. Now i work and live in USA for 3yrs married to US citizen and i have a son. I have a good job and i have my permanent residence, i travelled to canada last year August for 6days. i just applied for a UK visa to visit for 10days and my place of birth on this application was port-harcourt as it is on my new passport. Now my worries is would my old application in 2008 that has Lagos as my place of birth affect my new visa application which states Port-harcourt as my place of birth bcos thats what i have on all my documents and US documents too. Please, am worried bcos i really need the visa to attend a friend's wedding in the UK. I wouldn't be so worried if not bcos i am due for a US passport in January. Thanks
