Here's a purely hypothetical question which I hope some members might have an answer for.
Let's say you become a naturalised British citizen. Let's say also that you lost your original citizenship on becoming a British citizen, and also that you no longer have a passport from your original country because it got stolen or lost.
When it comes to applying for a British passport, how would you be able to prove your identity? It states clearly in UK Passport agency's website that naturalised citizens require their naturalisation certificate and passport from their original nationality to apply for a British passport.
However it is perfectly conceivable that someone who becomes a naturalised British citizen could not only lose their original citizenship, but also their travel document from that authority. So how to prove your identity when applying for a British passport?
