Naturalisation Court Order

Post by hayesmunda » Thu Aug 22, 2013 9:02 pm

Hello Team,

I have to apply for my Naturalization in Mid Sept'2013. I got my Indefinite a year back unfortunately after that my marriage went down hill and we are going through divorce proceedings , my wife to harass me got Court Order for Non Molestation Issued and Sole Occupancy against me in July , Honourable Court dropped Sole Occupancy and for the renaming suggested to fight the Order is an expensive exercise so we keep the Order till July'2014 with me no admitting to any of the allegations stated in the order and Court not doing any fact findings..Will this impact my good character requirement for Naturalization? I am applying through National Checking Service so a bit worried as the lady to whom i spoke in the Council stated you have to declare all Civil Issues for which i went to the Court .Shall i apply now or would it be better to apply after 3 years ?

I have a clear record in the country and was stated the same by the immigration office last year when i went to Croydon for my Indefinite Leave to Remain.

Awaiting for your response

A non molestation order is not a criminal conviction but can be if breached. It shouldn't cause a character issue unless breached.
