Set(m) confusion???

Post by b_queen » Thu Aug 22, 2013 10:16 pm

Hi there, my husband is applying for his set(m) next week. We are going in person. The application is quite complete but we are really stuck on one question. Its on Section 8 your home and finances last table. Can some please explain the table what am I suppose to write. I guess it required info regarding questions 8.2 - 8.6 which I have completed. Please reply to this query if mine and if you need to know any further info im ready to give. Thank u.

It's not a trick question, list wages, child benefit and tax credits (if applicable) and their amounts.

Lol...I'm not really getting the question....thanks for showing ur concern and helping out.....so on 8.2 it says do we pay rent or mortgage. I wrote the monthly amount of rent we pay. Then on 'income source' part shall I write where the rent came from??? And does interval received meaning????

Paying rent is not income :?

Mrs x wage - monthly- £1000
Mrs y wage - monthly- £2000
Child benefit - monthly-£125
Tax credits-monthly-£220

Total - monthly - £3345

Hope you get it now.

Indeed. Your housing benefit should include a single-lone parent applicable amount rather than a couple. What Country is the person who is subject to immigration to from?

He is Bangladeshi...but it's only me who is getting the housing benefit...the council has copy of all his documents and they know he can't get public funds.
