Is it Safe to scan BRP and send through email to university?

Post by navalaviator » Sat Aug 24, 2013 4:20 pm

Hi,

I just need to know that is it safe to scan BRP (ILR) and send through email to university?

I have applied for a degree program and have been asked by the university to send them a scanned copy of my passport and ILR BRP card as an evidence of permanent stay in the UK for a fee assessment purpose as a home student.

I showed my BRP card on skype video call (held card in my hand) to my family back home to celebrate my success but am really concerned about my privacy(I know BRP can't be cloned) so don't want to do anything silly again please help.

Thank you

I don't think there is anything to worry about. You can send the copy by post if you prefer.
