Citizenship on 28th oct 2013 new requirment kuul?

Hi,
My wife has the ILR since january 2013 and passed life in uk text last year 2012 october,
Her first entry visa into the uk was oct the 29th 2010, so it seems we are one day out on the new english rule,, as we can apply on the 28th of october 2013,
Is there anyway we can apply WITHOUT this new requirement as we are a long way away from london test centre and and the test seems much to difficult for my wife to be able to do.

Please advice if there is anything we can do.
We were very happy until last week , we were arranging the papers for the application and then i read this new rule came out, it most distressing as we will be back to square one now.

Does your wife have a degree taught in English?

No nothing, , is there anyway we can obtain one simply.

See the list of approved courses (click) for the new requirement the speaking and listening qualification in English should be at B1 CEFR or higher.

yes have seen this list , , so ,many there, was kind of hoping there was a easier cheaper way to be honest

There may be cheaper ones, I know that Trinity College has started a new one, but until the Home Office release an approved list is best just to consider what's on the existing, for now.

I was asking about citizenship, and was TOLD that wife needed to have held ILR for 1 year before should apply for citizen ship......!!!!!!!!

I don't know why people insist on contact that office and the advice is often wrong or only partially correct.

Yes i am british, and told them that my wifes friend had just been granted citizenship , she had only had ILR for 9 months so the info was incorrect!

She then decided to put me on hold and the phone was conveniently disconnected some 22 mins later while still on hold

Disgusting behavouir and outrage is what feel about the UKBA
