Help for Covering letter

Post by nadeem toheed » Sun Aug 25, 2013 1:20 pm

Hello all senior member
Please help me to draft covering letter for set(m) form
Dear Home Office,

I (the Main applicant) have been granted ILR on the basis of ten years long residency and my dependent (Spouse) got student dependent visa very first time in March 2006, up till now she is living with me with spouse (dependent) visa and she spent approximately 7 and half years on my dependent visa.
Could you please allow me to make an application for her settlement on Set (m) form?
Let me mention the immigration rule to substantiate my request.
Spouses and Civil Partners, Part 8, Family members, Paragraph 287(a) (I) (d)
• 287 (a) Requirements for indefinite leave to remain for the spouse or civil partner of a person present and settled in the United Kingdom
(d) the applicant was admitted to the UK or given an extension of stay as the spouse or civil partner of a Relevant Points Based System Migrant; and then obtained an extension of stay under paragraphs 281 to 286 of these Rules and has completed a period of 2 years as the spouse or civil partner of the person who is now present and settled here.

Sincerely,

Amber
