ILR or FLR - What are the options?

Post by Ahmed80 » Sun Aug 25, 2013 9:08 pm

Hi

My wife is due to apply for her ILR in few months as spouse of a British citizen, however things between us are not going too well and we are on the brink of a divorce.

what are my options given the situation

1- Should I help her get her ILR or can we apply for another extension of her visa to see if things work out?

2 - If I do apply for her settlement, will it cause any issues for me in the future? If not I don't mind her getting her settlement and going her way.

Are you in a subsisting relationship?

If you are not, then she does not qualify for ILR.

Do you have a child together?

If she is only with you, in order to secure ILR, then she is using you, and it can't be right.
